Route 23

This song was birthed out of a season of new beginnings for me. "Route 23" is a joyful, high-energy, funk-soul-pop song that tells the story of putting your life on a new path, following a new leader and going a new direction. Based out of Psalm 23, the song radiates energy, joy and freedom and new life in Christ.

SING

Sing bursts to life with an explosive saxophone solo that sets the tone for everything that follows — pure joy, energy, and praise. This high-powered gospel-fusion anthem brings together pop, funk, and jazz in a vibrant mix that makes you want to move. Featuring a dynamic male lead vocal and a full gospel choir, the song celebrates freedom, faith, and the kind of joy that can’t be contained. It’s bold, soulful, and alive — a musical invitation to lift your voice, dance, and sing with everything you’ve got.

ORIGINS

DeMeade

I’m a guitarist, songwriter, and producer who loves creating music that carries both energy and hope. My sound draws from rock, funk, fusion, jazz, soul, Americana, pop, and CCM. It’s shaped by a desire to make music that feels honest, alive, and connects. Each song is an invitation to feel, move, reflect, or rediscover joy in everyday moments.  I started playing music as a kid and got serious about it around 13. I played in a lot of bands, learned from other musicians and teachers, and experimented with whatever genres grabbed me. In my late teens and early 20s I went all-in on music, which eventually led me to move from Tucson, AZ to San Diego, CA to try and make something happen. It didn’t turn into the breakthrough I hoped for, but that season taught me a lot and helped shape my direction as a player and songwriter.  At 24, I had a life-changing experience that genuinely reoriented everything for me. I became a follower of Jesus, and it was a real starting over—from the inside out. Naturally, my music shifted too. I started writing from that new place, with a Christ-encounter and new-found faith woven into the center of my life and my songs. My creative journey is deeply connected to my faith, and my heart is always to make music that connects with people across different stories and experiences.   My earliest influences go back to the music that shaped me in my teen years, and those sounds have stayed with me—even as my writing has kept evolving. Much of my music also grew out of playing in a worship community with my family—those shared moments have shaped the tone and heart behind the songs I write today.  Today, I’m inspired by the freedom of live jam sessions merged with advanced studio processing and digital production, always aiming for a balance between organic feel and thoughtful craftsmanship.  I love writing and arranging original songs, and then blending voices, textures, and instruments using studio software in ways that feel creative, natural, and honest.   More than anything, I hope my music helps people feel a little less alone in being human. To wrap words and melody around the things we feel but sometimes struggle to say—joy and grief, tenderness and hope, confidence and confusion.  I want the music to come alongside you—sometimes with a quiet, honest kind of comfort, and sometimes with an upbeat groove that puts some life back in your bones.  Either way, I just want the music to connect—to you, to the people around you, and to something bigger. I want to give you that small, real relief you feel when a song puts words to what you’ve been carrying.   At its core, my music is about hope; a quiet reminder that God’s love meets us where we are and keeps moving with us and through us throughout our lives. For me, music is simply a place where grace and groove meet, and where faith can be heard as much as it’s felt.
